Sailing to a dry dock in Ostend for a total refit. 

Moving sailboat 'Missy' (original name) from the Mercator Marina to a dry dock in Ostend for a total refit. Screening the dammage after it had been abandoned due to the pandemic and the 2020 lockdown. 

Buying a boat was only the start of a long, arduous journey. First of all, a total refit is an expensive and intensive pastime. Secondly, I’ll be needing lifejackets, harnesses and foul weather clothes, essential safety gear, VHF radio, charts, almanacs, pilot guides, logbooks, binoculars, hand-held compass and more. And last but not least I'll need documents, permits and a new fixed berth in a marina!

More than a year of uphill battle but finally ready to tack PEL61 into the wind. Farewell to 2023 and farewell to the shipyard. Finally time to launch PEL61. Check out a year of hard work captured in pictures!
